Dear Families,
It's hard to believe that we are approaching the last day of the school year! It seems as if the year has flown by! I am sad to say goodbye to your children. But I am excited at the thought of working closely with the first graders and their teacher next year. This past Sunday the first grade class joined us for the morning. Your children got to spend some time with Carri Wasserberg, their teacher next year. We had a great morning learning about Mother's Day and its connection to Judaism. We discussed the 4 "Foremothers," Sarah, Rebecca, Rachel and Leah. Also we talked about one of the commandments being "Honor your Mother and Father." The children created adorable Mother's Day cards for you as well. We ended the morning with a story about the upcoming holiday of Shavuot and then some playtime outside.
This coming Sunday we we eat breakfast with you and your children in the Sagel at 10:00 AM and then enjoy a bit of "goodbye" time in the classrooms. Then we will all enjoy a talent show and closing ceremony. I hope that you can free up the time Sunday morning to join us for part or all of the festivities.
Thank you so much for allowing me to work with your child this year. I will truly miss each and every one of them, but look forward to working with them in the Learning Center again next year. Thank you to the parents who assisted in the Learning Center this year! We couldn't have done it without you (or at least as smoothly without you!)
I look foward to seeing you on Sunday!
Have a great week!
Sincerely,
Miss Debbie
